The Leica Absolute Tracker AT930 is the next generation 3D laser tracker to feature the Leica Absolute Interferometer (AIFM), giving high-speed dynamic measurement capabilities that set it apart from the competition. With automatic target location, real-time architecture and the ability to instantly re-establish an interrupted beam, it is the fast, accurate and user-friendly way to measure to reflectors. Certified to IP54 standards by the IEC, the AT930's robust integrated-technology design is ready to measure in even the harshest conditions with no need for additional accessories.As the 3D version of the Leica Absolute Tracker AT960, the AT930 shares all the AT960's features and functionality except for the variozoom 6DoF compatibility, making it the ideal solution for high-speed measurements in volumes of up to 160 m (Ø). Compatible with reflectors for line of sight measurement, the AT930 offers a versatile portable 3D laser tracker solution.The latest generation of the PowerLock active vision system ensures that the laser automatically follows the user, re-establishing an interrupted beam with a typical uncertainty of just 10 µm, so operators no longer need to worry about breaking the beam. The AIFM provides the measurement speed of an interferometer and the accuracy of an absolute distance meter, while the real-time operating system supports a measurement rate of up to 1 000 points per second. The all-in-one design with levelling equipment, environmental monitoring and overview camera all built into the device enables users to simply unpack the tracker and start to measure. Offering high-speed dynamic measurement as standard, it is a complete solution for six degrees of freedom (6DoF) probing, scanning and automated inspection as well as reflector measurement.
A new generation of portable CMM system based on proven technology, the AT960 brings together the 6DoF functionality introduced with the Leica Absolute Tracker AT901 and the portability and usability delivered by the compact Leica Absolute Tracker AT403. The result is a highly-sophisticated yet easy-to-use large-volume measurement solution weighing less than 14 kilograms.

Featuring wireless communication and a battery operation option, the integrated-technology design of the AT960 makes lengthy setup a thing of the past. The Leica Absolute Interferometer (AIFM) enables accurate high-speed measurement to a moving target while the innovative PowerLock function ensures an interrupted beam is instantly re-established without user intervention, reducing operator workload and training requirements. When combined with the Real-Time Feature Pack and Leica T-Mac, the AT960 evolves into a laser tracker solution that meets the deterministic measurement data-delivery requirements of high-end automated installations. Built on the industry-proven EtherCAT protocol, it enables the delivery of 6DoF measurement data with accurate timestamps at an output rate of up to 1000 Hertz. Known as 7DoF measurement data, this enables real-time machine control within even highly-dynamic robotic setups.
With a measurement volume of up to 160 metres in diameter, the AT960 is compatible with Leica T-Probe, Leica T-Mac, Leica T-Scan 5 and Leica Absolute Scanner technology. This flexibility allows it to cater to a wide variety of inspection applications – from quality lab to in-line; from in the factory to in the field – ensuring users have the right tool for any measurement challenge.

The First Ever Direct Scanning Laser Tracker
Manufacturers are increasingly interested in digitally pinpointing and inspecting large parts and surfaces that are simply out of range of a traditional handheld 3D laser scanner, touch probe or reflector. The Leica Absolute Tracker ATS600 is ready to meet the challenges of these new applications with a unique working principle that can accurately locate a point in 3D space with metrology-grade accuracy without the need for a reflector at the point of measurement. Based on the established Wave-Form Digitiser technology behind some high-end surveying tools, the ATS600 is powered by the first ever Scanning Absolute Distance Meter, a metrology-grade iteration of this technical principle that can locate a point to within 300 microns from up to 60 metres away. By measuring a series of such points across a user-definable measurement area, the ATS600 can quickly produce a measurement grid defining the target measurement surface. The density of that point-grid is also customisable, putting the operator in complete control of the balance between process speed and the level of detail that will feed into your metrology software.
With the Leica Absolute Tracker ATS600, objects that previously required significant time investments to digitise, or which were even beyond the realistic possibility of efficient measurement, can be quickly brought into the world of 3D analysis by a single operator. With the world’s first ‘direct scanning laser tracker’, productive quality control is primed to expand into entirely new areas of production, powered by a fundamental shift in the way we think about 3D measurement.
The ATS600 also delivers many of the features familiar from the rest of our Absolute Tracker product range, including reflector measurement at up to 80 metres distance, with full PowerLock capability. Combining reflector measurement and direct scanning capabilities delivers impressive all-round performance for large-scale measurement tasks, with scanning quickly describing surfaces and individual reflector readings used for alignment and defining features.
